Gentle waves crash against the rugged volcanic rocks along a shore, while a tranquil pool of water, possibly a tidal pool, reflects the blue sky above. The rocks appear jagged and dark, a stark contrast to the smooth, milky surface of the sea created by a long exposure shot.
